Curon as an Employer

Curon provides its internationally recruited employees with safe working conditions and comprehensive orientation to the Finnish work and cultural environment. We support integration and professional development to ensure the well-being and success of our employees in their new home country.

At Curon, we understand the challenge of finding experienced domestic helpers locally in Finland. That’s why we primarily recruit our skilled Filipino helpers from Singapore, a country where approximately 300,000 foreign domestic helpers are employed. With over 15% of households in Singapore relying on domestic help, many of the professionals we hire have extensive experience working with Western families and express a strong desire to transition to Europe for employment.

The domestic helper profession is predominantly female, and in many Asian countries, workers’ rights remain limited. At Curon, we are committed to improving working conditions for our employees in Finland. We also support family reunification efforts, which are often unattainable in their countries of origin.

Comprehensive Orientation and Support
We carefully orient employees recruited from abroad to Finnish work culture, practices, and laws, as well as the unique aspects of living in Finland, over several months before their arrival. We support them with immigration and residence permit processes and cover part of the costs related to their relocation. Additionally, we assist with registering a home municipality, opening a bank account, finding housing, and selecting Finnish language courses. We aim to ensure that settling into Finland is as smooth and pleasant as possible.

As a responsible employer, we actively support the professional growth of our employees through regular training sessions and workshops. These opportunities enhance their skills and ensure that their work consistently meets our high standards of quality.

Responsibilities and Obligations of Being an Employer
We fulfill all employer responsibilities in accordance with employment contracts and the collective labor agreement for the Real Estate Services Sector. Our helpers are employed on a permanent basis, fostering stability, well-being, and commitment to their roles.
